NWIO-01Watchdog & I/O ist eine digitale I/O-Optionseinheit. Es enthält eine Watchdog-Logik zur Überwachung des Betriebs des AC 800M und der CI858-Software. Das Gerät verfügt über zwei digitale Eingänge (24 VDC oder 115/230 VAC) und zwei digitale Ausgänge. Der Watchdog überwacht die folgenden Vorgänge des CI858:

  • Funktionsweise des CI858-Anwendungsprogramms.
  • Kommunikation über Dual-Port-Speicher.
  • Funktionsweise des CI858-Betriebssystems.
  • Kommunikation am optischen I/O-Ring

Die Werkseinstellung der Watchdog-Zeitkonstante beträgt 1 s, sie kann jedoch mit Jumper X1 im Gerät auf 0,2 s verkürzt werden:

  • X1, Pins 1-2 = 0,2 s
  • X1, Pins 3-4 = 1 Sek.

Die Zykluszeit des Oszillators beträgt das Zweifache des Ausführungsintervalls des NWIO1DO. Sie muss im Vergleich zur Zeitkonstantenauswahl im NWIO-01-Gerät schnell genug sein:

Bei einer Zeitkonstante von 1 s:

  • Ausführungsintervall der Aufgabe <100 ms
  • Zykluszeit des Oszillators <200 ms
