Der MVI56E-MCM ermöglicht die Modbus Master- und/oder Slave-Konnektivität zwischen ControlLogix-Prozessoren und Modbus RTU/ASCII-Geräten. Jeder Port des Moduls kann entweder als Master oder Slave konfiguriert werden. Es fungiert als Ein-/Ausgabemodul auf dem ControlLogix-Rückwandbus.
