Important Considerations:

  • Compatibility: New CPU modules must be paired with new CT/VT modules, and old CPU modules should be used with old CT/VT modules. Using mismatched modules will result in HARDWARE MISMATCH or DSP ERROR messages. Ensure compatibility based on the age of the existing module’s counterpart.
  • Configurability: The UR-9EH offers configurable settings that can be adjusted using the keypad and faceplate or EnerVista UR. For instance, disabling the SERVER SCANNING feature can free up CPU resources, which is beneficial if IEC 61850 client/server functionality is not required.
  • Plug & Play Capabilities: The module’s Plug & Play features automatically establish basic CPU settings, simplifying the setup process and allowing users to focus on optimizing rather than starting from scratch.
