    • Allows bi-directional transmission of digital communication signals superimposed on the 4/20mA loop for smart transmitters.
    • Optionally, the MTLx544S model acts as a current sink for safe-area connections, instead of driving current into the load.
    • Can connect to separately powered current sources (e.g., 4-wire transmitters), though HART communication will not be supported in this mode.
